So Dope... Tron Ice Hotel

If you happened to be wandering above the Arctic Circle in Sweden, you'd most likely lose your mind if you stumbled upon this incredible Tron: Legacy-inspired ice hotel...

British designer Ben Rousseau and architect Ian Douglas-Jones built this magnificent structure in just 13 days. They carved out the interior of the hotel room suite, installed the lighting, and then polished and buffed out the interior furnishings. These included wall panels, a reindeer pelt covered bed and a table.

The electric blue Tron-inspired lighting scheme is achieved by cutting grooves into the ice, inserting energy efficient electroluminescent wire, and icing over the wire to keep it in place.

Sneaker Freaker x Chi Town Air

You may have seen the homie Ric McCallister a.k.a. Chi Town Air featured in the sneaker mag Spain Kicks. Well now he's made an appearance in Sneaker Freaker Magazine based out of Australia. Rick lists off a few of his favorite spots to hunt kicks at and it just so happens that Beau Monde made the list! Thanks for the shout out bro. Kid Cudi x Chip Tha Ripper x RSVP

The homie Joe a.k.a. Mr. DTA came through the spot bearing gifts yesterday. He went out to RSVP Gallery for the Kid Cudi/Chip Tha Ripper meet and greet. Today marks the 6 year anniversary of O.D.B.'s death. Ol' Dirty Bastard brought a measure of humor and a touch of the absurd to the Wu-Tang Clan. You are missed!

Knowing that I'm a huge Simpsons fan the homie Tony from C4 came through the spot and showed me this video of Buckshot showing off his Simpsons collection, which he keeps in the studio. Looks like he's pretty serious about it too, acting out senario's and all that, COMEDY!

Halloween With Homer

Halloween is one of our favorite holidays here at Beau Monde, so when it comes around the pumpkin carving game get's pretty serious. This year I free-handed a Homer Simpson jack-o-lantern to commemorate the release of the Kidrobot x The Simpsons Mini Series II. Can't wait to get all these figures! The Beau Monde crew went out last night to check out Nike and St. Alfred's latest artist installment featuring James Marshall (DALEK) and they did not disappoint. The event included live music and free food and drinks in addition to the customizable Nike sportswear that was available for purchase. The graphics were definetely on point, good event all around. If you've been living under a dark, damp rock for the past 10 years and have'nt made your way over to St. Alfred I suggest you check it out, good people.

So the Beau Monde crew hit the streets last night for an extremely wet sneaker release campout at Niketown. No complaints though it's always a good time choppin' it up with fellow heads. With only 1,734 pairs produced, the AJ Retro 13 Premio "Bin 23" had a few people bummed out due to the fact that supplies ran out before everyone was able to cop their pair. Charge it to the game? On to the pics.

Attention Sneakerheads

Here is a look into some Fall/Winter product from Converse, Etnies and Adidas. First up Converse is dropping a "Super Hero's" pack with DC comics. Next is Etnies collab with Kevin Smith, writer of the classic film Clerks. These come in a simple Blk/Wht colorway with some quotes from the movie on the inner tongue. These will be limited to only 300 pairs. Finally it looks like Adidas is doing another Star Wars collabo with the first sillouette getting inspiration from everyone's favorite wookiee, Chewbacca. A Boba Fett shoe will also be releasing in the pack. On to the footage.
